1. Why did you want to participate as a Director at Large?
When I ran, the at-large director was a new position. After serving as the South Atlantic Regional Representative on the board and council, I understood the Institute’s structure and operations.

Sarah Wahlgren, a fifth-year thesis student in interior architecture, has been elected the 2016–2017 National President of the American Institute of Architecture Students. She is currently the AIAS South Quad Director.

Community Planning alumnus Jes Laing '13, a Roadway Design Engineer for the consulting firm ARCADIS, has been named a Global Shaper by the company. ARCADIS is an international consulting firm specializing in design, engineering, and project management, with 22,000 employees throughout the world.
