Nakhjavan Travels to Rome for Visiting Artist Fellowship at the American Academy

Professor Behzad Nakhjavan, chair of APLA's architecture program, has been granted a visiting Artist Fellowship at the American Academy in Rome this July, 2013. Professor Nakhjavan plans to catalogue a series of Roman architectural urban contexts from the Classical to Baroque period during the visit. Professor Nakhjavan will be working among an elite community of international scholars and artists at the Academy doing research in the form of illustrations and drawings exploring the embodiment of spatial depth of imagination in architecture of Rome. A stay at the Academy in Rome is highly valued in the discipline of architecture as well as other Humanities based disciplines.
