Landscape Architecture Alumni Reunion

April 14-15, 2017

The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture will host an alumni reunion for all landscape architecture graduates on the weekend of April 14-15. The reunion activities will include a lecture by Jack Williams, Emeritus Professor of Landscape Architecture, on Friday, April 14, 2017.

Williams, who was Professor and Chair of the Landscape Architecture and Urban Design program in the College of Architecture Design and Construction from 1992-2008, will present “Miniatures of Abnegation—The idea of the American Small Town in Literature, Images and Places,” at 3:30 p.m. in Dudley B6 Auditorium. Afterwards, he will be signing his book, Easy On Easy Off: The Urban Pathology of American Small Towns (University of Virginia Press, 2016), which received the J.B. Jackson Prize for the best book in 2016 on landscape studies.

Other reunion activities on Friday include a reception in the evening. Tours of Dudley Hall and exhibits of student work will begin Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Lunch in the courtyard includes an appearance by Aubie. For more information, contact Charlene LeBleu,
