APLA Welcomes New Faculty-Fall 2012

Kevin Moore and Sweta Byahut

Kevin Moore, who joined the APLA faculty on a visiting appointment two years ago, has been appointed to a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Architecture/Interior Architecture.  Moore brings  ten years of professional experience in New Orleans and Chicago, and prior teaching experience at the University of Texas at Austin.  Professor Moore teaches in the Interior Architecture program where he focuses on experiential effect. 

 

 

Sweta Byahut has recently joined the APLA faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Program in Community Planning. Her teaching and research interests include sustainable land use and transportation, planning for climate protection, urban environment and growth management. Before joining the APLA faculty, Professor Byahut was an instructor at the University of Cincinnati and taught courses on Urban Spatial Structure; Environmental Issues and Policy; and Urbanization Issues in Developing Countries.  At Auburn, she currently teaches classes on Cities, Planning and Climate Change; Transportation and Mobility; and Introduction to Community Planning.
